Hello!

I'm Masha Khoruzhik, the creative force behind Studio Svekla, and a dreamer of all things pattern and color. As a sentimentalist i've always been drawn to spaces and objects that hold a certain magic for me whether that magic is nostalgia or something that speaks to my personality. Oftentimes I would create those objects in my own space. One year I painted a mural in my bedroom. Another year I rejuvenated an old dining table with a new wood stain and hand-painted Rajasthan design...

The pandemic brought us closer to our living spaces and in a world of over-consumption and overstimulation a lot of us strive to make our homes more grounding and true to our essence. Now we long to host, connect, and entertain, and nothing strikes a conversation faster than a home with a unique style that reflects its owner. Whether it is a print from my archive or a custom job, I aspire to design beyond just fitting into current trends and resonate with the end customer that chooses to let their personality shine in the decor of their home.

Values

I believe in intention, individuality, and storytelling. Every artwork whether in the archive or custom made for you is designed with these values at heart. Each design offers something special whether it be a refreshing technique, a pleasantly surprising color palette, a unique motif, or a compelling story.

I stand by the notion that exceptional design emerges from seeking inspiration beyond the digital realm. That’s why you’ll find me inspired by nature, travel, museum visits, and art books. Constantly exploring and experimenting with new mediums while at the same time keeping up with trends allows me to create unique yet livable designs.
